So, I watched a weight loss video today. The spokesman was this guy:
He claims to be an MD from Baylor with under grad from Stanford, and manufacturing degree to boot.
He was making the claim that those of us who are “girth challenged” have two major enemies. They are identified as the hormones Ghrelin and Adiponectin. The first increases hunger and makes us fatter, while the second inhibits our ability to burn fat. He also touched on insulin imbalance and cortisol overload.
So what? Another quack blabbing about two hormones that most of us have never heard of and two issues we’re tired of hearing about, with that all too familiar claim, “This is your problem” – Right!?!
BUT, here’s where this guy got my attention. He gave several fixes that didn’t include the product, which he clearly and directly says he is trying to sell. Its expensive, but if the free ideas work, then I might be writing him a check by the weekend.
Here are the suggestions:
- Raise Magnesium levels by eating pumpkins seeds, and leafy greens, as well as, day on, day off, fasting. This will lower adiponectine levels.
- Lower Ghrelin levels by increasing sleep to at least 6 to 8 hours per day.
- Correct insulin imbalance by taking 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar before, carb-rich meals.
- Use breathing exercise to diminish stress (In and hold 4 secs, out over 2 secs, rinse and repeat X8). Think I may add some B12 to this piece.
Still, the system is free and if the 4 steps work, then the product he is pushing might too. Anyway you decide. The product is called RealDose. Feel free to check it out. Let me know if it works. This is the guys address: http://www.doubleyourfatlossnow.com/. Its not a link ’cause I don’t know if this works. Let me know if it works for any of you.
(btw – You will see I didn’t create a link to this program here, cause I’m not promoting anything. I just thought it was an interesting discussion. If you create a link for some cukie weight loss program on this post it will be rejected, so thanks for not wasting my time.)
